This show is the world’s largest tile show, with innovative designs and a space where top tile manufacturers and distributors can network and expand in the industry. Italy is the industry leader in porcelain tile production and is the epicenter for all things tile, making Italy the ideal place to host the 2022 Cersaie Tile Show.

What is Cersaie 2022?
The Cersaie tile exhibition in Bologna, Italy is so important to the industry because it's a prime opportunity for the factories to show their newest offerings and importers like us to see what's trending in the market. We could not miss out on this amazing opportunity.
Cersaie 2022 recorded 91,296 attendees over the five days of the event, an increase of around 50% compared to last year's exhibition. This was an amazing event to be a part of and to interact and network with the tile industry and leaders.
There are 14 exhibition halls at Cersaie, showcasing the very best products from the world’s top tile manufacturers.
With 624 exhibitioners from over 157 countries, the Cersaie 2022 tile show had the widest selection of ceramic surfaces, wood floors, wallpaper, bathroom furnishings, fireplaces, saunas, designer taps, bathtubs, and sanitary fixtures on display. These displays are arranged as you would see in a home, to give viewers inspiration and insight into the minds of the tile designers.
Almost every major tile manufacturer in the world is in attendance. Even supplemental companies to the industry such as thinset and trim manufacturers will be represented at the show.
The Cersaie 2022 show gave a hands-on view of different products and their characteristics and to find ideas on how to use different surfaces to create what Cersaie calls “eye-catching and emotional spaces”.
The Latest & Greatest in Tile at Cersaie
The benefit of attending important industry-leading shows like Cersaie is that we can stay up to date with the latest tile trends and provide the highest quality tile at Island Tile for our customers.
Large-format polished material seemed to be what everyone wanted at this show this year. Many 24x48 and 48x110 slabs in diamond polish were on display.
We were able to speak with every factory we currently import from, such as Mirage and Pamesa, and took the opportunity to meet with new factories in hopes of varying our offerings and gaining new clients.
Based on the show we believe travertine tile is definitely back, especially vein-cut travertine. Almost every manufacturer was offering it in some fashion.

When the 5-day tile exhibition at Cersaie was all said and done, our team returned to Melbourne with bright eyes and opened minds, excited to take on what trends we observed and serve our clients even better with this knowledge!
You can’t write about an Italy trip without mentioning the amazing food! The best part about going to a tile show (other than the amazing tiles on display, of course) is the incredible Italian food. We took the opportunity to have some fantastic Italian cuisine every night, and can't wait to go back and have more of that fresh burrata next year at Cersaie 2023.
